The U.S. Mint wants public comment on which of six final designs should be chosen for the new dollar coin honoring Sacajawea, the Shoshone teenager who helped Lewis and Clark get to the Pacific Ocean.

So herewith is our choice:

Three of the final designs show Sacajawea with her infant son Baptiste, who accompanied her on the journey. For our money - and in the interest of historical accuracy - the Mint should choose a design that includes Baptiste.
