Don't blame it on Viagra, say the impotence drug's maker and federal regulators.

Earlier this week, prosecutors charged a 72-year-old man with assault and attempted rape of his neighbor in Lacey. The man had been taking Viagra and had normal sexual function for the first time in more than a decade, he told police.

Police were careful not to blame James T. McNamara's alleged behavior on the drug. Neighbors reportedly said he had been obsessed recently with the woman he is accused of assaulting.
