For years now, gardeners from all over the Seattle area have flocked to the Silver Bay Herb Farm near Silverdale.

In spring, they come for herb starts, seed packets and fresh ideas. In summer, they come for herbal tea parties and picnics created by Seattle's top chefs, from Tom Douglas to John and Caprial Pence. In fall, they come to learn how to make herbal infusions, vinegars and mustards. At Christmas they come for herbal gifts and treats.
