``Sex,'' a 1926 comedy/drama by Mae West, is a terrible play. But at Annex Theatre, ``Sex'' makes for an entertaining show.
West's characters are one-dimensional. Her plot is preposterous. But Annex director Ed Hawkins turns these major flaws into prime assets.
Hawkins' actors are overactors. They exaggerate their overacting. Then they expand upon their exaggerations. The results are often hilarious - if only one isn't put off by lewdness.
