Kenmore Air, which wants to fly sightseeing seaplanes out of Elliott Bay this summer, got a tentative Seattle City Council go-ahead, at least for the coming tourist season.
But while the floatplane company also has won approval from the Army Corps of Engineers to build a dock near Ivar's Acres of Clams restaurant, it has not yet applied for approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to land and take off in that area.
``There has not been a process started by Kenmore with the FAA to establish a base of operations there,'' regional FAA spokesman Mitch Barker said. ...
