ADB technical assistance eyed on rural electrification.(Business)

The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking a technical assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for its rural electrification project, that would include enhancing the efficiencies of electric cooperatives (ECs) and the acceleration of the government's electrification program.

The grant was estimated to cost around $600,000. This would fund a four-year project that involves project identification and evaluation work associated with systems rehabilitation and upgrading of the candidate ECs, among others.
