Wisconsin's quarter should pay homage to the state's glacial landscape, an emeritus UW-Madison professor suggests.
Each state is getting to design its own ``tails'' side of a quarter in a special series of the coin. The U.S. Mint will issue Wisconsin's quarter in 2004. In this period before the state begins the planning, informal suggestions are emerging.
Geography Professor C.W. Olmstead has suggested a sketch of a farm, dominated by a typical barn and silo, against the backdrop of a field of drumlins.
