Aug. 2--It was Aug. 9, 1974, President Richard Nixon had just resigned, and 22-year-old intern Barbara Henry was the only reporter staffing the Statehouse bureau of The Indianapolis News.

Dispatched by her editor to waylay Gov. Otis Bowen for comment, the new college graduate landed a half-hour interview with the governor in his Statehouse office.
