POLO OF CRUZ REPORTEDLY TARGET OF PROBE IN PARIS

PARIS -- Courts have sealed the Left Bank apartment of Cuban financier Roberto Polo at the request of his creditors, according to the newspaper Le Quotidien de Paris.

Polo, reputedly a multimillionaire, is an investment banker and owner of the Miguel Cruz apparel and perfume firm. The newspaper said he has been under investigation for a mounting financial crisis for some time. The sealed apartment constitutes what French law calls a provisional seizure, roughly equivalent in the United States to a writ of attachment.
