Korea Telecom Sees Profits Soar 464 Pct in First Half.

Korea Telecom, the nation's leading telecommunications service carrier, has recorded a remarkable increase in profits, of 464 percent, in the first half of this year.

According to company officials, profits in the first six months of the year increased to 596.2 billion won, from 105.7 billion won during the corresponding period of last year.
