A reader called a week or so ago to ask where to find tasty tomatoes.
Now they are everywhere.
No other region outdoes Hampton Roads producing tomatoes.
It's a heritage, a holdover from half a century ago when truck farms hereabouts shipped tomatoes along the East Coast.
And one good thing about tomatoes, they seem to be easy to grow.
Just the other day a reader called to report the development of a square tomato which, he observed, was just right for making tomato sandwiches.
That would figure.
