Jul. 29--RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil--The global battle over genetically modified food is spilling into Brazil, South America's largest economy.

And the consequences will be huge for U.S. exporters to Brazil of nearly $2 billion a year in food products and commodities such as corn and soybeans. They'll be big for Brazil, too, forcing it to choose between the United States and Europe as its target export market.
