Gliatech Inc. (Nasdaq: GLIA) announced today that Company scientists are presenting data at the 18th International Complement Workshop in Snowbird, Utah, indicating that an anti-complement monoclonal antibody (MoAb) reduces tissue damage in pre-clinical models of heart attack. The presence of complement components has been suggested to lead to damage to heart tissue following a heart attack.
