For the first time in its history, St. Joan of Arc Church in Lisle has a diocesan priest leading the flock. Since 1924, Benedictine fathers from St. Procopius Abbey have staffed the Lisle parish.
The Rev. Gerald Tivy, who was formerly assigned to Aurora's Our Lady of Mercy parish, took the reins as pastor at the end of June. He replaces the Rev. Roman Galiardi, a Benedictine monk who pastored the church for the past 15 years.
