Hollywood's version of the Nuremberg trials got a reality check from a World War II veteran who helped guard the defendants and even collected autographs from some of them.

The trials by the International Military Tribunal that led to death penalties against a dozen Nazi officials are little remembered by today's younger generations, Duane Shanbarker said.

Shanbarker, 82, has a scrapbook with photographs, newspaper clippings and postcards to help him recollect the days in Nuremberg, Germany, when 22 Nazi officials were tried on charges including murder, ...
