IKSAN, Cholla-pukto (Yonhap) -- At least 400 people were killed and over 400 were injured in bombings by U.S. military aircraft on Iri in the early stages of the Korean War (1950-53), a civic group claimed yesterday.

The casualties were found accounted in a 184-page report compiled by a committee promoting the erection of a cenotaph for Iri victims of the bombing during the war.
