Hyundai Motor to Expand Commercial Vehicle Factory.

Hyundai Motor is planning to expand its commercial vehicle factory in Chonju, currently the largest single factory producing trucks and buses, ahead of the launch of a joint venture with DaimlerChrysler, Hyundai's strategic ally.

Hyundai Motor has signed a contract with the Korea Land Corporation to purchase the land of 65,000 pyong (one pyong is equivalent to 3.3 square meters) adjacent to the Chonju factory, a senior Hyundai Motor official said. Hyundai Motor will set up production facilities for high tech engines and special specifications vehicles.
