Costly repairs to the city's parking meters, which eat up revenue, have prompted Cheviot officials to consider removing them from the business district.
Mayor Michael Laumann and Safety Service Director Steve Neal have met with Cheviot-Westwood Business Association members and sent letters to all city business owners to seek comment.
Some business people contend meters do a good job of forcing parking spaces to turn over and keep traffic flowing, Laumann said....
