On June 4, the U.S. Navy will introduce a new annual observance of its most important day, the Battle of Midway, June 4-6, 1942, 58 years ago
Called ``a glorious page in our history'' by Adm. Chester W. Nimitz, commander of the Pacific fleet in World War II, it was the turning point in the war from which Japan was never able to recover. Military historians call this one of the most decisive battles in history.
