Mount Vernon won the war of attrition and wore down Everett in the second half on its way to a 68-50 quarterfinal victory yesterday in KeyArena.
Everett played Mount Vernon even through the first 16 minutes behind the shooting of senior Adam Sowinski and junior Josh Daniels. The two combined for 20 points and 11 rebounds in the first half.
