COUNCILMAN WEEKS PAYS BUSINESS TAXES.(LOCAL)

City Councilman A.M. ``Don'' Weeks has been forced to get a license and pay delinquent city taxes plus interest for a business he has advertised for more than two years.

Beach Commissioner of Revenue Philip J. Kellam said Monday that Weeks was unable to prove he didn't need a license for Legacy Properties, which Weeks has publicized on signs and in political statements since 1998.

Weeks got the license Friday and paid taxes for the years 1998-2000, Kellam said, plus 10 percent interest per year on the delinquent tax bills.
