EASTERN TENT CATERPILLARS A NUISANCE
ANNAPOLIS, Md., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Spring is prime feeding time for insects, and this spring the eastern tent caterpillar population has experienced a population explosion.
A common species which makes white silk tents in the crotches of trees, the eastern tent caterpillar's increased numbers are causing defoliation of some trees as the caterpillars feed on the leaves.
