Houlihan/Lawrence, Inc. was the Westchester real estate broker who was instrumental in the sale of an "estate" in Westchester to Michael Duval. Although Houlihan was the seller's broker, Duval the purchaser, relied upon the broker's representation when he purchased the property that the residence was designed by the internationally renown architect Stanford White.
About two years after Duval purchased the property, he sought to sell it and retained the same Houlihan as his broker to bring about the sale. Houlihan produced a purchaser but Duval ran into difficulty ...
