The government was not involved with the controversial retirement of Hyundai Group's chairman Chung Ju-yung and his two sons _ group chairman Mong-hun and motor division head Mong-koo _ which sent tremors through the country's corporate scene, Financial Supervisory Commission chairman Lee Yong-keun said yesterday.
