The government of the United States consists of three equal branches of government: the legislative, executive, and the judicial. The legislative branch consists of the Congress, the executive branch of the President, and the judicial branch of the Supreme Court of the United States. This paper outlines the functions and qualifications of members of these branches. In the event of a conflict between legislative and the executive branches, the decision of the Supreme Court is final and binding.
