Marty Scott has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since he was 6. As kids, Scott and his pals spent every possible moment at the neighborhood playground, playing baseball.

Scott drives by playgrounds now and they are empty. "We didn't have Nintendo," Scott said. "Today, kids have Nintendo and dozens of other things to do."
