Micron lays off 300 ex-Zeos workers.(BUSINESS)

Micron Electronics Inc. ended the suspense for its 500 Minneapolis employees Tuesday by laying off 300 of them.

The personal computer manufacturer said it will lay off the former Zeos International employees at the end of April in connection with its disclosure last week that it plans to discontinue its Zeos line of personal computers.

Micron had said last week that all 500 jobs in Minneapolis were under review as a result of the decision to drop the Zeos PC line. On Monday, Micron's board of directors met and decided to stop manufacturing the Zeos product and lay off the ...
