1/3 Stand on the Mount of Olives overlooking the ancient city of Jerusalem and try - I dare you - to stay dry-eyed. Or, especially if you're a Christian, deny that you want to burst into song, usually some hymn you haven't sung for years but that comes rolling back to you in all its verses.
"Beautiful Savior," or maybe "Once in David's Royal City."
Try it. For Christians, Jews or Muslims it's very difficult to remain rational and dispassionate about this city on the hill.
