Maggie Simpson was just a kid when her great-uncle, Tommy Gibbons, died. She knew something of his colorful career as a boxer in the early part of this century, mostly from tales passed along through three generations of her St. Paul family.
But she ached to know more about one legend - the night that Tommy Gibbons became the first man to go 15 rounds with former heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey.
