A `Big Piece' of history; Far from the sea, part of Titanic's hull pays a visit to St. Paul.(NEWS)

As crane operator Joe Brandl lowered a rusty 20-ton chunk of the Titanic's hull into an empty swimming pool in St. Paul Friday, Connecticut truck driver Rich Crowther chuckled.

"Every hotel we'd stay at this week, someone would ask what we were hauling," Crowther said. "I'd say: `You wouldn't believe me if I told you.' They'd ask again, and I'd tell them it was a piece of the Titanic. They'd say: `Yeah, right.' Only time I've told the truth my whole life and no one believed me."

Frankly, it's hard to believe the long journey the so-called "Big Piece" had taken before ...
