People think running government more like a business is a better idea than simply privatizing public services according to an opinion survey released last week by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

The survey also found that when contractors become involved in public sector work people are more concerned about assuring fairness and equality in the delivery of services rather than issues of accountability.
