A consumer lawsuit alleging monopolistic pricing in the Twin Cities by Northwest Airlines was brought back to life Tuesday by a three-judge panel of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The case, which seeks corrective action and a massive refund for Northwest ticket buyers, was dismissed in January 1998 by U.S. District Judge David Doty.

Unless the full appeals court or the U.S. Supreme Court stops the lawsuit, Tuesday's outright reversal of Doty's decision sets the stage for a possible federal court trial that would be closely watched by air travelers throughout the ...
