Andy Justus, former lumber company executive, dies.(NEWS)(Obituary)

1/3 Andy Justus, former president and chairman of the Justus Lumber Co. in Hopkins, died of heart failure Saturday in Chicago on the way to his grandson's wedding. He was 90.

The company was started in 1893 by his father, Andrew Justus. He started working there in 1932 as a sweeper, but he also did anything else that needed to be done, his son Jim Justus, of Hopkins, said.

Andy Justus took over the company in the late 1940s. In the 1970s he oversaw the company's move from Hwy. 169 and Excelsior Av. to its current location at 11th Av. and Excelsior Blvd. ...
