1/3 Mike Hatch won election as Minnesota attorney general on the strength of his promises to shake up health plans, insurance companies and street gangs.

Seven months into the job, one of the biggest shakeups has been in the attorney general's office itself.

Scores of firings and resignations - perhaps the largest turnover in the office in more than 60 years - accompanied Hatch's takeover from fellow DFLer Hubert Humphrey III, who had headed the office for 16 years.
