CN OFFERS SHORTLINE OPPORTUNITY IN NEW ENGLAND

MONTREAL, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Canadian National Railways is prepared to sell its Grand Trunk Eastern Line (GTE) in New England to "a compatible buyer." In Montreal, where operations on GTE are controlled by CN's St. Lawrence Region, Vice President J. Roger Lagac says the railway is in the process of streamlining its network.
