Safety-Kleen accounting troubles: shares hit 1-year low.

Shares in Safety-Kleen Corporation (SKC), the US industrial waste treatment, disposal and recycling firm, hit a 1-year low at around $2 in early March, following the announcement that it "has initiated an internal investigation of its prior reported financial results and certain of its accounting policies and practices." SKC's board says it received information from SKC employees alleging possible accounting irregularities that may have affected results since fiscal year 1998.
