Experts and novices welcome to try their hand at euchre.(SunBurst)

Euchre players have a card club of their own now. Although it has played just twice so far, the euchre club attracted 22 card players in its first session May 4.
"Everyone is welcome to drop in and play," said Karen Richardson, the club's president. Both novices and experts were in the first group to play, she said.
Euchre is played by dealing five-card hands in which jacks, called bowers, are high. As in bridge, euchre players bid for trump. The highest card in a suit or the trump takes the trick. Winning three tricks scores a point. Five points win the ...
