Mechanism Design is an up-dated version of a textbook first published in 1982 by S. Molian, formerly head of the Mechanism Design Unit at Cran-field University in the U.K. It targets mechanical engineers and those studying at postgraduate level in its treatment of design techniques that can be used within the time and cost constraints actually found in industry. The newly published second edition contains new material reflecting developments made since publication of the original.
