GEOFF Boycott insisted he was innocent yesterday after appeal judges ruled he DID beat his ex-lover.
The cricket legend declared: "I never hit her. I'll say that to the day I die. My conscience is clear."
Former lover Margaret Moore, 48, smiled in triumph, and retorted: "I'm delighted. He got what he deserved."
Boycott, 59, had appealed against a conviction and pounds 5,000 fine for assault.
