It isn't often that anyone, let alone a bunch of high school students, is given the responsibility to manipulate DNA. But that is exactly what Lake Forest Academy's advanced placement biology students did just one month ago.

The class of juniors and seniors is taught by science teacher Gloria Harper, who recently completed a unit covering genetic material.
