Apr. 18--New Jersey's tortured search to find a final resting place for truckloads of radioactive rubbish will soon end where it began more than a decade ago -- at a disposal site in rural South Carolina.

The saga of where to put low-level radioactive waste once saw a commission offer $100 million over 50 years to any New Jersey town willing to host a low-level radioactive waste disposal facility -- only to have everyone turn it down.
