It was once a musty, window-less cubby-hole set deep in the bowels of Anfield's main stand and stuffed full of boots and training kit.

Now the meeting place for Liverpool's Boot Room boys is the corner of a light, airy and modern canteen at the club's Melwood training complex.

The venue might have changed but the philosophy and values remain the same. It symbolises the creed laid down by Bill Shankly - team-work, loyalty and honesty with the aim of doing things simply but well.
