Potter Mulls 41 Years of Change at API
They call him "Mr. API,' a tribute that Stephen P. Potter says belongs to someone else. But after 41 years with the American Petroleum Institute, Potter truly can lay claim to the title.
Potter, 65, retired on October as API senior vice president. He joined the organization in 1946 as an economics writer after serving in the Army Air Corps and earning an English degree at Princeton.
