When I receive a letter or circular describing me as a "most valued customer". My first instinct is to aim it at the waste bin.
We all like to think we are of some value, but I am immediately suspicious when singled out, particularly by someone who wants to sell me something.
Is there something about my purchasing potential that puts me above everyone else? They would like me to think so.
