TV star Esther Rantzen is being dropped from her daytime talk show amid continuing worries over her health.

Esther, 57, will be replaced by 31-year-old Lowri Turner.

The BBC veteran, who was struck down with amoebic dysentery on a working trip to Africa, told The Mirror last night: "The doctors have forbidden me to do anything at all until October.

"I will start recording the Esther talk show at Christmas which will begin to transmit again in February."

But the name of the show has already been changed to "Lowri."
