LONDON -- Turnbull & Asser, the British luxury shirtmaker, is looking to grow further in the U.S. following the appointment of Barry Goldsmith as its group managing director based in New York.
Goldsmith was president of Burberrys USA until January 1998, when he left to pursue other interests. He joins Turnbull & Asser as part of a split in its executive functions, with Kenneth Williams, its former chairman and managing director, giving up one title to become simply chairman.
