Bandt of gold for shareholders; Premium of 16pc as Tilbury Douglas takes over industrial service group.(News)

Birmingham-based scaffolder and industrial service group, Bandt, has agreed to be taken over by Tilbury Douglas - the construction giant with a large Midland presence - for pounds 75.1 million in shares and cash.

The deal is yet another example of a small cap Midland company being forced off the market by institutional shareholders fed up with its lowly rating.

Tilbury, whose construction equipment division is based in Erdington, is offering about 53.8p a share - a premium of almost 16 per cent to ...
