MEATH last night welcomed home Sam Maguire in the way only the Royal County can.
They danced in the streets well into the night following their winning team's triumphant return with the treasured trophy.
It took hours for the huge convoy to reach Navan where the celebrations centred on the town's Fair Green.
Thousands of cheering fans lined the route as the team coach, escorted by Gardai and accompanied by a convoy of cars, slowly snaked its way north from Dublin.
