The Knights of Columbus Supreme Council has awarded 627 college and post-graduate scholarship and fellowship grants for the 1999-2000 academic year and distributed scholarship funds totaling approximately $1.3 million, it was announced by Supreme Knight Virgil C. Dechant.

During the same period, the Knights of Columbus awarded college and postgraduate scholarships totaling $8.6 million. An additional $6 million was expended to support Catholic schools in various ways.
