Nylon Producers Seek Price Increases.(Brief Article)

Demand is strong and companies strive to recover costs and rebuild margins.

THE MARKET for nylon fibers and resins has tightened, and demand outweighs supply in many areas. As a result, producers have launched a wave of price increases to regain margins lost last year because of the economic downturn in Asia. Producers are also emphasizing alliances and debottleneckings to capitalize on the growing market.
